Apple’s next generation MacBook Pro is set to be unveiled during the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). Now it is being said that Apple will neither unveil a mini iPad or the next generation iPhone, but only a fully rebranded MacBook Pro.

A MacRumor report suggests that the next generation MacBook Pro will be thinner and lighter and will come with Retina display besides of course USB 3.0. If we reconstruct the reports of improvements that Cupertino based Apple is going to implement in its forthcoming MacBook Pro, what we have as final product is something infinitely better and more useful that anything we have right now.

Now there are almost confirmed reports that Cupertino-based tech giant is going to change the feel and look of MacBook Pro. After having completed a top-to-bottom revamp of its notebooks lineup that will see new MacBook Pros adopt the same design traits that have made its MacBook Airs an increasingly popular choice among mobile consumers. The insiders with the knowledge of what Apple is planning in say that the next generation MacBook pro will come with ultra-thin unibody enclosures with many new hardware changes. A report while talking of improvements in the new pro line says, “…that jettison yesteryear technologies like optical disk drives and traditional hard drives in favor of models with lightweight chassis that employ flash-memory based solid-state drives, Apple Laptop Keyboard , instant-on capabilities, extended battery life, and rely on digital distribution for software and media”.

Another report talks of rumors that suggest that Apple is planning to combine MacBook Air with the increased power of MacBook Pro. This will bring out a revolutionary product that will be portable, but will come with increased power. Now there are several other interesting rumors that when combined, bring out the whole truth. A report while detailing the new material with which the forthcoming MacBooks will probably be manufactured names the material as lightweight Liquidmetal. Liquidmetal is more solid, though it is lighter and scratch-resistant than the existing aluminum unibody.

On the other hand there are also reports that indicate Apple going back to NVIDIA from AMD. A rumor emanating from SemiAccurate suggests that Cupertino based Apple is going back to NVIDIA from AMD for the graphics chips in the next-generation MacBook Pro.

One aspect that has become a talking point among Apple fans is report that the new MacBook Pro will support USB 3.0, a feature some had questioned whether Apple would adopt given the move to Thunderbolt connectivity. But people are happy and say that USB 3.0 and Apple Laptop Keyboard will make using the MacBook pro a lot easier. A report in a Taiwanese tech blog suggests that Apple has placed a huge order for USB 3.0 with Genesys Logic.
